Kotlik is a city in Kusilvak Census Area, Alaska, United States. At the 2000 census the population was 591. Kotlik is located at 63°02′09″N 163°33′37″W. Kotlik is located on the east bank of the Kotlik Slough, 35 miles northeast of Emmonak in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 4.7 square miles (12 km2), of which, 3.8 square miles (9.8 km2) of it is land and 0.8 square miles (2.1 km2) of it (17.85%) is water. The climate of Kotlik is subarctic. Temperatures range between -50 and 87. There is an average of 60 inches of snowfall and 16 inches of precipitation annually.
As of the census of 2000, there were 591 people, 117 households, and 102 families residing in the city. The population density was 154.8 people per square mile (59.7/km²). There were 139 housing units at an average density of 36.4 per square mile (14.0/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 3.55% White, 93.57% Native American, and 2.88% from two or more races. 0.34% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
